Wow. Who knew indeed? What's also cool is if you look at the mail-in coupon closely, the it allows the reader to request more info on "...the San Francisco Examiner and CompuServe®". I guess maybe this service was what grew into CompuServe, the internet service. You all remember CompuServe, right? Anyone? Anyone?
Also ironic that the Examiner has since folded due to the rise of the internet and the costs of having two dailies in a not-very-large town.
